ADORYL / QUESTIONS

3D printing in India, answered plainly.

The questions we are actually asked, answered without hedging. If something here is wrong for your job, say so and we will tell you rather than sell you.

How much does 3D printing cost in India?

For custom work, material is charged per gram — PLA at ₹6, PETG at ₹8, ASA at ₹10 and TPU at ₹14 — plus ₹0.83 per minute of machine time and a one-time ₹149 setup charge. The minimum order is ₹499. Ready-made objects in the shop are priced individually and shown inclusive of taxes. Full rates and worked examples are on the price page.

Why do two objects of the same size cost different amounts?

Because machine time usually matters more than weight. A part that takes three hours to print carries roughly ₹149.4 of machine time before a single gram is counted. Geometry needing supports, fine layers or slow perimeters occupies the printer far longer than a simple solid of the same mass. Reducing infill or splitting a tall part often saves more than switching material does.

How long does a 3D printed order take to arrive in India?

Printing starts after the order is confirmed and typically dispatches within three to five working days, then travels with tracked domestic shipping. Nothing is held in stock, so that window is production time rather than warehouse picking. Larger or multi-part jobs can take longer, and we say so before you pay rather than after.

Can I send my own file to be printed?

Yes. We accept STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP. Send the file to projects@adoryl.com with the material and quantity you want. Nothing is charged for sending a brief. A quote holds for 7 days.

Which material should I choose?

PLA for anything decorative or display — it is stiff, accurate and the least expensive. PETG when the part will be handled, dropped or sits somewhere warm. ASA when it lives in sunlight, because PLA will soften and discolour outdoors. TPU only when the part must flex. If you are unsure, describe where the object will live and we will pick one.

Is 3D printed PLA food safe?

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Printed parts have microscopic layer gaps that trap residue and cannot be reliably sanitised, and the filament, nozzle and process are not food-grade certified. We treat cookie cutters, moulds, cups and similar shapes as display or single-use craft objects rather than food-contact items. If you need genuine food contact, a printed part is the wrong answer.

Are prices inclusive of GST?

A catalogue product shows one price that already includes taxes. A custom quote subtotal excludes tax and delivery — both are added and shown in full before you pay, with delivery calculated from your PIN code rather than estimated afterwards. Adoryl is GST-registered under GSTIN 07CFBPK0907C1Z2.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes, with tracked domestic shipping, and delivery is calculated from your PIN code at checkout. Selected international destinations are also served. See the shipping policy for what is covered.

Can I return a 3D printed item?

An eligible return or exchange is offered within 7 days of delivery. For a change-of-mind return the buyer pays return shipping; where the item arrived damaged or wrong, Adoryl arranges or reimburses reasonable return shipping. Because every item is made to order, a personalised piece you approved before production is treated differently — the full terms are in the return policy and the refund and cancellation policy.

Do you offer discounts for quantity?

Yes, applied automatically with no negotiation: 5% from 5, 10% from 10, 15% from 25 of the same part. Larger runs are quoted individually.

Can you design something if I do not have a model?

Often, yes. Describe the idea and we will tell you whether it needs proper CAD or can be handled with AI-assisted tools. Mechanical parts that must fit exact dimensions need measured CAD, not a generated guess, and we would rather say that up front than print something that does not fit.
